The MarketingAnalytics@American, the online master of science in marketing analytics program, is designed for marketing professionals who want to understand the more complicated aspects of data and advance their career. As a student in the online MS in marketing analytics program, you will prepare to apply digital marketing and analytics skills to make data-driven decisions. The online master’s in marketing analytics curriculum is designed to provide students with a deeper insight into how big data impacts marketing strategies in today’s economy. The curriculum differentiates itself from other analytics curriculums by offering courses that challenge students to solve real-world marketing problems across a wide range of industries, giving them a competitive edge.

The 33-credit program can be completed on a full-time or part-time schedule, and includes courses in brand strategy, predictive analytics, business intelligence, digital marketing analytics, and more—plus hands-on practicum experiences.

You will have the option to pursue the Business Fundamentals Certificate as a part of your marketing analytics degree by completing four additional elective courses that meet the certificate requirements. In this certificate program, you will gain a fundamental understanding of business and management in courses that focus on financial accounting, marketing, finance, international business, and more.

Hands-On Practicums

Apply classroom learnings to real-world challenges and build your network during practicum experiences.

The curriculum includes two hands-on practicums (1.5 credits each) that allow students to solve business challenges with real organizations. During these practicum experiences, you will use marketing insights and analytics tools to find solutions to problems these organizations face. In addition to these problem-solving projects, you will attend talks from business leaders and make invaluable connections within the nation's capital.

To apply to earn your marketing analytics master’s degree online at AU, you must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. GMAT and GRE scores are not required. The program has four start dates throughout the year: January, April, July, and October. Applications are accepted and admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis.
