The Center for Business Communication helps to power up your success with guidance on business writing, public speaking, and team presentations:

  • Mastering the art of business writing: emails, case studies, executive summaries, memos and more
  • Speaking with confidence and authority
  • Planning and rehearsing individual and team presentations
  • Developing PowerPoint slides and advising on data visualization
  • Practicing elevator pitches and Q & A skills
  • Preparing for case competitions
  • Brainstorming as a team and persuading others of your most critical points
  • Understanding what professors expect in written work
  • Revising any written assignment at any stage
  • Overcoming nervousness when presenting

In both our peer-tutoring and our teaching within Kogod’s core curriculum, students learn one-and-one and in groups to communicate persuasively. They also practice providing thoughtful peer-to-peer advice, and working collaboratively to analyze and convey business solutions.

Inspired by our students’ pursuit of knowledge, our Center provides a space to pilot discovery and innovation. With our coaching, students can collaboratively grow and refine their business knowledge into clearly communicated ideas that inspire change.
