Scholarships are awarded with the expectation that you will maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2. Each spring, at the end of the academic year, the Office of Financial Aid audits the campus. If your cumulative GPA falls below a 3.2, then you will be notified that your award has been terminated.
You will have the opportunity to appeal, however, and most first appeals succeed, though second appeals are much more difficult.
You can expect the full support of the Honors office in your effort.
When making an appeal, please keep the following in mind:
- Contact the Honors office before you submit your appeal. We will be able to help you draft a statement and can provide a supporting letter.
- Visit the Satisfactory Academic Progress page and review the information.
- On that page, look for the Related Forms section on the right-hand side.
- Click on the link entitled Undergraduate SAP Appeal Checklist and complete the provided form.
