Deposit and Reserve Your Spot:

The below steps are applicable to students who are admitted to American University and offered the opportunity to participate in AU Cornerstone.

In order to be considered, select the program on the Common Application (Common App) when applying to American University. 

  1. Create your Admitted Student Portal (which is different from your Future Eagle Portal) that gives you secure access to online resources at AU:
    • Go to
    • Select Create your account.
    • Select “I am a student” and follow instructions to enter required information.
  2. Complete the Enrollment Agreement and Housing Deposit:
    • Go to
    • Double-click on the Academics tab on the left side.
    • Under Personalized Links, select “Enrollment Agreement and Housing Deposit.”
    • Complete the form and submit your tuition and housing deposits (via credit card or e-check)by May 1, 2022.
  3. Choose AU Cornerstone:
    • You will be able to fill out the AU Cornerstone and University College reservation form.*** May 6 is the deadline for completing the form. A confirmation email will be sent on/around May 11. 

*Cornerstone DC and UK have limited capacity, and the program may fill before the May 1 deposit deadline.

**Please Note: A travel fee will be applied to your spring bill by participating in Cornerstone UK. 

***You may fill out the reservation form prior to completing the Enrollment Agreement and Housing Deposit. You are still required to submit the deposit by the May 1st deadline, but can submit the reservation form to hold your spot.
