Administrative History

The Friends of Nigeria, founded in 1996, is the official alumni association for Nigeria Peace Corps Volunteers. Its mission is to educate the public about Nigeria, to promote policies consistent with the Peace Corps experience, to promote continued service to Nigerian people, and to keep its members information about events in Nigeria. There were two previous Friends of Nigeria organizations. The first was active in the 1970s and second from 1987 until 1991.
