Library Appreciation Week

This week is a time to celebrate libraries, library workers’ contributions, and uplift and support libraries.

It’s Library Appreciation week!

This week is a time to celebrate libraries, library workers’ contributions, and uplift and support libraries. National Library Week was first sponsored by the American Library Association in 1958 and is observed annually in April by libraries nationally. This year’s theme is “Welcome to Your Library.” The National Library Week Honorary Chair is actress Natalie Portman, known for her roles in several films, including Garden State and Black Swan.

The week-long celebration includes National Library Workers Day and Take Action for Libraries Day.
