Would you like us to come to your class and discuss resources, technologies, or projects? Do you need some group assistance or an equipment demo? Please get in touch with us about setting up an instruction session or consultation.
We can come to your class to showcase and discuss some of the latest technology that the library has to offer, including the MakerSpace, 3-D Printing, and more. Students can have some hands-on time with the technology, and we're happy to discuss ways in which the library can help plan class projects and coordinate our resources.
Technology Services staff offer a range of services to members of the University community including course-related sessions and consultation services. Faculty members are encouraged to consult with the staff members ahead of time to coordinate resources and needs. Typical sessions include:
- Instruction on library resources and class projects, including sessions of how to properly plan, design, and print academic posters. Faculty can schedule in-class academic poster printing information sessions online at american.mywconline.net. After logging in, select Faculty/Staff Tech Reservations from the drop-down bar at the top of the page and choose Poster Printing Session from the list of resources.
- Equipment demonstrations and troubleshooting.
- Consultations to discuss library resources and their pedagogical uses, including the use of student response systems (clicker sets) in the classroom.
