A discussion moderated by David Marchick, dean of the Kogod School of Business at American University, with Seth Goldman. Goldman has been widely recognized for his entrepreneurial success and impact, including Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in Greater Washington, the Washington DC Business Hall of Fame, Beverage Industry Magazine’s Executive of the Year, and Partnership for Healthier America’s CEO of the Year.
Uniquely positioned to develop leaders who thrive at the nexus of business, government, and society, the Kogod School of Business is one of the only schools in the nation to house a sustainability management program in a business school. This year Kogod welcomes nearly a dozen leaders in sustainable business as part of its Gamechangers in Sustainability speaker series.

Seth Goldman is Co-Founder and Chief Change Agent of Eat the Change®, a planet-friendly snack brand that helps people ‘Snack to the Future™’. Eat the Change® recently launched Just Ice Tea, a line of organic bottled tea to go along with the company’s mushroom jerky and carrot snacks. Seth is also the Co-founder of PLNT Burger, Honest Tea, and Chair of the board of Beyond Meat.
David Marchick is the Dean of the Kogod School of Business at American University. In this role, he leads the school’s work to support more than 2,000 students and offer more than two dozen undergraduate and graduate degree and certification programs. Prior to joining AU, Marchick served as Chief Operating Officer of the United States Development Finance Corporation during the first year of the Biden Administration, he also served as the Director of the Center for Presidential Transition at the non-profit Partnership for Public Service. He previously spent 12 years as managing director at the Carlyle Group, where he was part of the firm’s management committee and had broad responsibility for external engagements, including working with Carlyle’s funds, investors, portfolio companies, and other stakeholders.
