Each event space features unique AV and technological capabilities included in the cost of rental. Contact your conference coordinator to explore what options are available based on your event needs. Should you need additional AV services beyond those provided, your dedicated conference coordinator will quote any added fees.

For those staying overnight, our residence halls are accessible only by secure key cards. To further ensure guest safety, a conference assistant is stationed at each complex front desk.

Need catering during your stay at AU? Our exclusive on-campus catering partner provides numerous dining options to fit your event needs. Your conference coordinator will connect you with the catering director to work out specific details of your function. On-campus guest parking is available for $2 per hour or $16 per day at the School of International Service (SIS), Katzen, Spring Valley Building (SVB), or the surface lot at East Campus Commons. Parking pay stations can be found in the SIS, Katzen, and SVB elevator lobbies, or outdoors near the East Campus lot.

American University's main campus is located less than a 13-minute walk from the Tenleytown-AU Metro station and numerous Metro Bus lines. Free shuttle busses provide the AU community easy access between main campus, the Tenleytown-AU Metro station, and the Spring Valley Building.
