Scott Bledsoe

Assistant Community Director- East Campus

Scott (he/him/his) is the Assistant Community Director on East Campus. He joined the Housing and Residence Life team in August 2017! Scott is originally from Virginia where he attended Christopher Newport University before moving to Washington D.C. to attend graduate school at American University. Prior to American, Scott worked as a Resident Assistant at Christopher Newport and also served for two years on the executive board of his campus Residence Hall Association. His passion areas include empowering sophomore students and implementing civic engagement themed programming. In his free time, Scott enjoys going to the gym, hanging out with friends, and watching mindless reality TV.

Kathryn Miller 

Assistant Community Director for Training and Leadership

Kathryn (she/her/hers) is the Assistant Community Director for Training and Leadership. She joined the Housing and Residence Life team in January 2019. Kathryn is originally from Doylestown, Pennsylvania but attended Syracuse University for her bachelor’s degree where she graduated in May 2018 and immediately relocated to the D.C. area to start her master’s here at American University. Prior to American, Kathryn was working at Peace Corps Headquarters in Washington D.C. with the Office of Staff Learning and Development. She wanted to continue her training experience and passion for working with students and mental health advocacy and joined the AU team! While she isn’t working and studying, Kathryn enjoys training for running her first marathon, traveling and going on hikes with her two rescue dogs and refereeing high school women’s lacrosse.
