About the Cookbook

The Tales of Taste is a collection of nearly 100 easy family recipes from around the world. Each recipe was submitted either by an AU student, staff, faculty or alumni and is accomplished by a unique personal story that provides insight into the culture.

The recipes are tasty and diverse. Most are easy enough to make in a dorm room or home kitchen within minutes.

About the International Student Emergency Fund

Every year, international students face unforeseen financial difficulties. Because of their immigration status, they are ineligible for federal aid and risk having to end their studies at AU because of tragedies such as the death of a parent outside the U.S., civil war, natural disaster, and steep devaluations of national currencies.

In order to assist these students in need, ISSS has established an emergency fund for international students.

Contributions made to the emergency fund will be used for immediate, short-term, financial assistance to students. Students may seek assistance for needs such as food, temporary housing, partial tuition, textbooks, or travel after the death of a family member.

International students who are in student (F-1) or exchange visitor (AU sponsored J-1) status can apply for assistance. They must be in good academic standing and meet eligibility requirements for the fund.
