Upcoming Public Policy Camp to bring Students, Policymakers Together

2019 APPAM Public Policy Camp

On September 27, American University's School of Public Affairs (SPA) and the Association for Public Policy Analysis & Management (APPAM) will host a Public Policy Camp. The event is a way for undergraduate students to discuss the study of public policy and analysis and potential career paths with policy professionals. Public Policy Camp is open to all D.C.-area undergraduates, especially those from diverse backgrounds.

"The event was developed with APPAM to ensure that there are diverse perspectives at the policy table," said Alison Jacknowitz, SPA senior associate dean. "Different perspectives lead to better, more effective and inclusive public policy."

During the event, Public Policy Camp participants will engage with other students from across the region. They will learn more about the public policy field, meet leaders who work in field, and explore career and graduate study opportunities related to policy. Learn more about the program on the APPAM website, or register for the event today.
