Orientation Transition & Retention prepares new AU students for their college transition and integrates them into the AU community through university-wide collaboration, coordination of intentional programming, and leadership development of current students.
By actively engaging in orientation programs, students will:
be able to recognize college transition issues and identify services and resources that may facilitate success,
demonstrate knowledge of responsibilities related to university policies and procedures, health, wellness, and financial obligations
have an opportunity to discuss the AU’s values and apply new knowledge in an active session
As the Orientation office, we prepare new students and families for the upcoming transition to AU through the coordination of intentional programming. We strive to help every new student connect, belong, and grow within our community. We welcome the members of our community to bring their full self to AU. We value human dignity and commit to being empathetic, inclusive, just, and respectful. Our goal is to welcome new eagles to our community where individuals of all identities and experiences are understood, appreciated, and fully included.
