Interfraternity Council

The American University Interfraternity Council (IFC) represents and serves national men's social fraternities here on campus. Through programming, community service, advocacy and representation the IFC and our member organizations strive to make the fraternity experience better for our members and the campus community.

IFC Spring 2021 Formal Recruitment

IFC Formal Recruitment will occur from January 31, 2021 to February 11, 2021. To participate in Formal Recruitment, you must fill out the IFC Registration form, in it's entirety. 

Things to know/prepare for:

  • Spring 2021 Formal Recruitment will be fully virtual!
    • In the registration form, questions will ask students what time zone they will be and where they will be in the world. If you have any questions about this, please email us.
    • Recruitment will be held using the Zoom online video platform. All students, faculty, and staff have access to a Zoom Lincensed account through their "" email accounts. To Sign-In directly to your AU Zoom account, click here: using their AU username and password (your username are the characters before the @ symbol). 
  • Recommendation Letters are not required.
  • Schedule:
    • January 31st - Meet The IFC (virtual tabling fair)
    • February 1st - 10th: Chapter Events
    • February 11th: Bid Day
    • February 12th by 5pm: Accept or Decline any Bid(s)
