Dr. Ali has extensive experience working with multilateral, bilateral, government, and non-government organizations on varied international development challenges. Dr. Ali is the author of several peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and the book 'Development, Poverty and Power in Pakistan: The Impact of State and Donor Interventions on Farmers' (Routledge, 2015). He frequently writes policy and research papers for prominent think-tanks in Washington D.C. Dr. Ali is a Non Resident Scholar at the Middle East Institute and he contributes a weekly op-ed in Express Tribune, an affiliate of The New York Times in Pakistan. Dr. Ali has taught international affairs, international development, and anthropology courses in Australia, Pakistan, and the United States. Recently, he has been teaching graduate students at American, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, and George Washington universities.
