Research Interests: macroeconomics, fiscal policy, and economic development and globalization—with an emphasis on emerging markets and the Middle Eastern economies. Current research includes: oil prices fluctuation and global development, fiscal policy and economic development, labor markets and strategies for coping with high unemployment, economic diversification and integration and the advent of Islamic finance in world financial markets.
