Ken Janjigian is the Assistant Dean of the English Language and Training Academy (ELTA). His duties include curriculum and course development, directing faculty, and program recruitment. He often travels abroad to attend conferences and meet with university partners. Ken has been teaching ESL or EFL for 25 years. Prior to joining AU in 2012, he taught at several universities, including UMBC, Northeastern, Boston University, and Harvard University's Institute for English Language. At Brandeis University he helped launch their ESL pathway program. A Boston native, he has also lived in San Francisco and Italy, where he taught English to Alitalia staff. Ken also moonlights as a writer and has published a collection of novellas, Trapped Doors (2005) and a novel, Defending Infinity (2008).
