Bio
Clare grew up both in the Washington, DC area and in Brussels, Belgium. After graduate school, she taught middle and high school English in New York City for many years. She also spent two years doing earthquake relief work in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. As an advisor, Clare helps students make empowered choices as they set and accomplish their academic goals. In her free time, she volunteers with an organization that supports and advocates for recently arrived refugees and asylum seekers. She also enjoys traveling and being outdoors with her family, friends and dog, Barry.
