Kelly is originally from the Garden State and moved to DC in 2010 to attend AU for graduate school. While earning her MA in Psychology, Kelly worked in the American University Counseling Center as the Clinical Services Assistant and interned at the Wellness Center, where she focused on eating disorder prevention programming and research.
In her current position as Site Manager and Co-Investigator of The Female Athlete Body Project (FAB), Kelly studies a variety of health behaviors in female student athletes. FAB is currently funded by NIMH and is overseen by the Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Kelly also continues to manage several evidence based programs for women on campus and helps to plan local eating disorder related advocacy events, like the annual DC NEDA walk.
Kelly is very interested in health psychology and the mind-body relationship. She is a certified holistic health coach and is currently in yoga teacher training. Kelly loves all animals, vegan food, and strong coffee.
