Kameron (he/him/his) is moving across the quad to join the Center for Diversity and Inclusion after working as an Academic Counselor in the School of Public Affairs. As the Coordinator of LGBTQ & Diversity Programs, he oversees general LGBTQ outreach and education initiatives. He also works with the other center staff on center-wide programming initiatives and diversity workshops that supports and advocates for better inclusion of women, students of color, LGBTQ students, and first-generation college students.
Before his time at AU, he worked as a Resident Director at the University of California, Berkeley and completed a bachelor's degree from the University of West Florida and a master's degree in Education from the University of South Florida.
While at USF, he worked in the Office of Multicultural Affairs where he oversaw LGBTQ programs and policy initiatives.
In his spare time, Kameron is involved in SMYAL's (Supporting and Mentoring Youth Advocates and Leaders) Young Donors Committee, enjoys playing beach volleyball, rock climbing, and advocating for LGBTQ rights.
