Bio
Born and raised in New Jersey, Matt moved to Washington to attend college in 1987 and has remained in the DC area ever since. An employee of American University since 1996, he joined the staff of the College of Arts and Sciences in the fall of 1999. He previously served as Administrative Coordinator for the academic advising office, Undergraduate Advising Specialist, and Curriculum Coordinator. He is currently in charge of classroom scheduling, curriculum development, and related logistical support of the college’s many academic programs and departments. He is also a proud alumnus of the university, obtaining his Master’s degree in history in 2007. In his free time, he is researching (and hopes to publish) the biography of Col. Michael Kerwin, a nineteenth-century Irish-American politician and Irish nationalist.
