Bio
Michael Rosengart brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to American University, where he currently serves as the Fitness Coordinator of Personal Training and Fitness Services for Recreational Sports and Fitness. His dynamic career journey spans over two decades, marked by significant contributions to the world of sports, fitness, and health promotion.

Before joining American University in January 2022, Michael's professional path led him to diverse roles and achievements within the fitness industry. Notably, he served as a Master Instructor for Equinox Fitness, where he honed his skills as a fitness educator and personal trainer. His innovative approach to fitness and wellness has positively impacted countless individuals on their journey to improved health.

In addition to his tenure at Equinox, Michael's passion for fitness education extended to academia. He took on the role of an Assistant Kinesiology Instructor and excelled as a football coach and strength coach at Santa Monica College. His dedication to teaching and coaching has helped students and athletes achieve their fitness goals and reach new heights in their physical abilities.

Michael's commitment to promoting health and well-being extends beyond the gym and classroom. He is an accomplished author and illustrator, having authored several exercise books that share his expertise in prehab exercises. His latest work, "Prehab Exercises Static Stretching: Illustrated Guide to the ABC Approach," is a testament to his dedication to helping individuals overcome injuries and enhance their physical resilience. Michael's motivation for writing stemmed from his personal experience, as he used prehab exercises to recover from injuries sustained during his college football career at the University of Essex.

Alongside his extensive experience, Michael holds a variety of certifications in fitness, nutrition, and coaching, demonstrating his commitment to staying at the forefront of the field. His qualifications include certifications as a NCSF Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, Prehab Specialist, EXOS Performance Specialist, EXOS Tactical Systems, EXOS Fitness Specialist, Precision Nutrition Level Two, Functional Movement Screen, Functional Range Conditioning, and Kinstretch Certified.

Currently enrolled in the master's degree program for Health Promotion Management, Michael is dedicated to expanding his knowledge and expertise to continue making a positive impact on the health and well-being of individuals and communities.
