Alexander Patterson Postdoctoral Fellow Counseling Center

Bio
Alex Patterson, M.A. is returning as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Wellbeing Programs and Psychological Services after completing his doctoral internship at the Center. Alex provides individual and group therapy, outreach, and consultation services. He approaches therapy from a relational psychodynamic perspective and integrates humanistic and existential theories into his work with students.

Alex is currently ABD in the Clinical Psychology program at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Chicago Campus and is expected to graduate with his Psy.D in 2023. He received his M.A. in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2019, and completed his coursework and internship for the M.A. in Clinical Psychology program at Towson University from 2016-2018. Additionally, he received his Certificate of Completion from the fellowship program at The Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in 2021, and continued to be a fellow at the Center through 2023. Before his graduate work, he received his B.S. in Psychology from Towson University.
