Angela is currently a second year M.S. student pursuing a degree in Justice, Law and Criminology with a concentration in Justice and Public Policy. Originally from Long Island, New York, she has moved to Washington D.C. to pursue her master’s degree. Angela graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2011 with a B.A. in Criminology with a minor in Political Science. In addition to working as a research assistant, Angela interns remotely for the Incarcerated Voices project by analyzing submissions from incarcerated contributors regarding their experiences in prison. Throughout her career, Angela hopes to reform the criminal justice system, and particularly has an interest in drug policy or corrections. A side from criminal justice, Angela enjoys running, practicing yoga, and photography.
