  • Carol Foster is a Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics and Government, CLEG, major and a dual minor in International Relations and Environmental Studies. She is in the University Honors Program and has been on the Dean’s List every semester since she started at American in 2008. In her freshman year at American, she testified before the D.C. City Council in favor of the Anacostia River Clean-up and Protection Act of 2009. As a member of the student group Bag the Habit, she assisted in starting a plastic bag recycling program at American University. She is currently Director of Bike Lending for the university. As director, she expanded the program’s facilities and university ridership. She continues to work closely with the D.C. Department of Transportation to improve bicycle infrastructure in the greater Washington area and helped design a bike share program at Tulane University in New Orleans.
