Kathryn Baxter Communication: Public Communication

Kathryn Baxter is a senior studying public communications and advanced leadership studies. She serves as director of communications for Women's Initiative, a branch of of AU's student government that advocates for equitable academic programming and policy. She also serves as a teaching assistant for the class of 2013 in the School of Public Affairs's Leadership Program. Kathryn is a senator in AU's undergraduate senate representing the class of 2011 and is working with other women members to form a Women's Caucus to support women's political empowerment. She is interning for the second semester at GLSEN (the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network) and after graduation hopes to continue to work to advance causes that support women's and LGBT rights.
