International Relations (PhD)
Matthew's research focuses on domestic drivers of state aggression and ambitious foreign policy. His work on state behavior engages the literature on strategic culture, national identity construction, and institutional analysis. His writing appears with the Middle East Review of Public Policy and Administration, the Atlantic Council, and various newspapers. He has experience as an Arabic fellow, journalist, and global affairs writer.
