Three such opportunities include the Morris and Stewart Udall, NOAA/Hollings, and EPA GRO Scholarships. The Udall Scholarship also encourages applications from students who are interested in tribal public policy or Native American health care.

The U.S. Department of State's Critical Language Scholarship funds intensive summer language programs in such languages as Chinese, Arabic, Korean, Russian and Japanese.
