Introduction to Health Promotion (3) An introduction to the professional and academic field of health promotion and disease prevention. Epidemiological investigations of disease patterns and trends in the United States and health promotion efforts in various settings are explored. Emphasis is placed on the roles of lifestyles in determining health outcomes, social determinants of health, and effective strategies to help change health behavior. Usually Offered: fall.
