Proseminar in Public Policy (3)

Course Level: Graduate

This course is an overview of the public policy field. It examines literature in three disciplines: neo-classical economics, political science, and public choice. Each disciplinary perspective is used to analyze the institutions most directly involved in policy formation (voters, interest groups, and congress) and implementation (Congress and the bureaucracy). Usually offered alternate springs. Prerequisite: admission to PhD program or permission of instructor.
