RELG-225 Meaning & Purpose in the Arts Course Level: Undergraduate

Meaning and Purpose in the Arts FA1 (3) Examines theories of the nature, purpose, and meaning of artistic activities and objects through the religious, cultural, and philosophical contexts in which they arose. Both Western and non-Western expressions and viewpoints are considered. Student projects explore the relationship between particular works familiar to them and their role in religious expression. Usually Offered: fall and spring.
