School of International Service Admitted Students Events 2021

Welcome to the School of International Service

While the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis has altered the way in which we connect with one another locally and around the world, we at SIS remain committed to training and educating future leaders to serve the global community. We look forward to inviting you to visit us on campus soon, and we are excited in the meantime to welcome you to our "online-for-now" community through a suite of virtual events. We hope to see you at many of the upcoming sessions below.

Read on for next steps and ways to connect with us and other newly admitted SIS graduate students.

Join the Virtual Community

An important element of the SIS graduate experience is connecting with our close-knit community of students, faculty, and staff, and the New SIS Grads 2021 Virtual Community is an excellent place to start. After your request to join the group is approved, we encourage you to make the space your own (if you've already created your account, be sure to sign back in often to see the latest updates and join the conversation)! While the Graduate Admissions Team and current student ambassadors will periodically use this group to share campus and DC resources and upcoming event announcements, the main purpose is to allow you—the newest members of our community—a place to connect with one another.

Attend an Upcoming Admitted Student Event

Most SIS Admitted Student Events covering a range of topics from financial aid to academic advising to career preparation take place between late February and mid-April. The event list will be updated frequently, so be sure to monitor this page and your email for upcoming event announcements and details.
