Professor David Hirschmann, a celebrated member of the School of International Service (SIS) community, passed away on July 7, 2017. Professor Hirschmann joined SIS in 1986 and made lasting contributions to the school for more than 30 years.

Professor Hirschmann's family and the SIS community welcome relatives and friends to attend his memorial service at Kay Spiritual Life Center at 2:00 p.m. A celebration and reception honoring the life and work of Professor Hirschmann will follow in the School of International Service Atrium.

Friends, colleagues, and family will have an opportunity to say a few words, tell a quick story, or offer a toast.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the David Hirschmann International Development Scholarship Fund. This fund provides need-based financial support to undergraduate and graduate students from the developing world to study international development or development management.
