Bio
Mr. John Austerman is an national security professional and experienced advisor to senior military and civilian leaders focusing on armaments policy. He has 15+ years of leading, coordinating, and managing bilateral and multilateral agreements across large geographically separated cross-functional and multinational teams in 50+ countries and the Levant, to include war zones. He has worked weapons programs at all levels (operational, tactical, and strategic) of the federal government.
In addition to federal service, he has been appointed by his County Commissioners to serve on several boards and commissions in the past, namely the Economic Development Commission and twice to the Ethics Commission. He has also completed the Senior Executive Fellow and Executives in National and International Security courses at Harvard Kennedy School.
He is currently the Director of Air Force International Programs (Weapons) at the Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
