Bio
Cherie Saulter’s research focuses inequality, identity, and urbanism, with emphasis on sub-Saharan Africa. Her dissertation, which draws on original qualitative research, explores variation in cooperation and collective action to meet community needs in Nairobi’s multi-ethnic informal settlements, focusing on identity, informality, and liminality.
