A Key to Peace

Through Heartbeat, high-school musicians form relationships based on equality.

Shneyer uses music as a tool for social change. His nonprofit, Heartbeat, brings high-school musicians from across the Israeli-Palestinian border together to compose music, learn about each other, and reshape the otherwise divided world around them. Since being founded in 2007, Heartbeat has become a global network that fosters musical creation and facilitates constructive dialogue.
