Dean Romzek Elected to NASPAA Executive Council

School of Public Affairs Dean Barbara Romzek was elected last month to the Executive Council of the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA). The council consists of fifteen members named to three-year terms.

NASPAA is the global standard in public service education. It is the membership association of over 280 schools of public policy, public affairs, public administration, and public & nonprofit management, located across the U.S. and in 13 countries around the globe. NASPAA is also the recognized accreditor of master's degree programs in these fields. NASPAA's twofold mission is to promote excellence in education and training for public service and to promote the ideal of public service.

Ethel Hill Williams, University of Nebraska-Omaha, took the gavel as the 2013-14 President of NASPAA, and J. Edward Kellough, University of Georgia, was elected vice president and president-elect.

The four other public affairs faculty elected to NASPAA’s Executive Council this year were: Mohamad Alkadry, Florida International University; Robert Kravchuk, Indiana University; Barbara Liggett, Western Michigan University; and Lan Xue, Tsinghua University.
