We are a team of student development professionals in the School of International Service. We inform undergraduate students about the curriculum and the university regulations and assist them in developing their academic and professional goals. By providing a supportive environment, we give students the opportunity to succeed and grow into responsible global citizens.

Declaring the SIS major/minor

  • A 3.0 cumulative GPA is required for entry to an SIS program
  • Browse through the degree requirements for the bachelor's degree at SIS.
  • To complete the SIS minor, you will need to take seven total classes.
  • Interested in minoring? SIS undergraduate advisors can meet with your during express hours.

Advising Appointment

Students can register for study abroad planning meetings, 30-minute academic planning meetings, or 15-minute academic planning meetings with their assigned academic advisor. 

Appointments can be scheduled two weeks in advance.

Express Advising

Express advising is for students with quick questions and on a first-come, first-served basis. Students can meet with any available advisor on duty. Hours include:

Monday
11 am-1 pm
2-4 pm
Tuesday-Friday
10 am-12 pm
2-4 pm

Peer Advising

The SIS Peer Advisors work with second-year students. Peer advisors help students pick classes that suit their interests, discuss success strategies for major courses, provide information on academic policies and procedures, and make appropriate referrals to campus resources.
