Host a Screening

Show the CVL film series for FREE in your community!

Our collection of films are available for free as educational tools for your next class, assembly, presentation or public screening event. The Community Voice Film Series is comprised of 10 short films, each evoking themes of gentrification, food insecurity, trauma recovery, but most of all hope. Our storytellers take viewers on a brief journey into their lives of resilience, creativity and strength.

We invite you to use our student-produced series, and accompanying screening guide, for FREE to exhibit in non-profit locations such as schools, universities, libraries, and community organizations.

To screen the films for your organization, you can show the whole series, or choose several films to show in a thematic block. In the following pages, you can browse summaries of each film or choose from the suggested thematic blocks below. Note: The content within each film is copyrighted by American University and cannot be used or sold for commercial purposes.
