Bio
An experienced public relations strategist and communicator, Bethany has led national campaigns that have raised awareness of a variety of health and social challenges, including better support for nurses responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, access to health care for people living with HIV/AIDS, and improving the lives of young people aging out of the U.S. foster care system.
Bethany currently serves as Director of Communications at Surgo Ventures, a nonprofit that leverages data, behavioral science, and artificial intelligence to solve health problems. During her 20+ year public relations career, she has represented government officials, political candidates, nonprofit executives, academic institutions, health care providers, patient advocates, and others. She has worked for award-winning PR agencies, at the National Academy of Medicine, on Capitol Hill, and on the presidential campaign trail. She has a B.A. in English from Wittenberg University.
