- Cecilia Simon is an adjunct professor of Journalism. She has worked for magazines and newspapers for more than 20 years. She is a contributor to The New York Times Education Life section, and a former contributor to The Washington Post Health section. She has held writing and editing positions at Adweek, Money, Channels and Teacher magazines. She was a contributing editor with Psychotherapy Networker magazine, and blogged for Psychology Today. Her articles also have appeared in The New York Observer, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Premiere, Parents, Washingtonian and other publications. She holds a master's degree in journalism, and advanced studies in psychology. She teaches writing at American University in Washington, D.C.
