Bio
Robert Klemko is an adjunct professor in American University’s School of Communication and a staff writer for the Washington Post covering criminal justice and policing. He was part of the Post team that won the 2024 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting for “American Icon,” a series examining the rise of the AR-15. Klemko joined The Washington Post as an investigative reporter for the Sports section in 2019, after six years at Sports Illustrated, where he was a senior staff writer focusing on coverage of the National Football League.
