Bio
Dave Frederickson is the Director of Performance Monitoring in the Performance Management Center at the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), where he leads DOL’s performance analysis and reporting efforts. His co-authored book, Measuring the Performance of the Hollow State, examines the challenges to implementing a performance measurement and strategic planning system in HHS agencies characterized by third-party government. It was nominated for the National Academy of Public Administration’s Louis Brownlow Award for outstanding contributions to public administration literature. Dave earned a Ph.D. from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs, an MPA from George Mason University and his undergraduate studies were at Brigham Young University.
