Javier Bronfman

  • Javier Bronfman is presently a fourth-year PhD candidate in the Department of Public Administration and Policy at American University’s School of Public Affairs. He received his Master of Public Administration from Wagner Graduate School of Public service New York University in 2007. His research and teaching includes public policy analysis, microeconomic development, poverty, inequality and social policy.

    Javier was born in Chile, where he earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in economics, graduating cum laude from Universidad de Chile in 2002. Prior to starting his PhD at American University’s School of Public Affairs hold a teaching position at the Government school of Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, were he taught undergraduate and graduate courses in economics, development and poverty.

    Javier has also worked at the private sector particularly in the construction and development field. And while in Washington D.C. he has worked as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank, World Bank and the Government of Indonesia.
