Bio
Selika is an innovative strategist, transportation executive, and motivational speaker. She is the Founding Partner of Autonomous Vehicle Consulting, LLC and is currently researching and educating on autonomous vehicle policy, impacts on governments, OEMs and stakeholder communities. Selika is a Professorial Lecturer at American University and formerly served as the co-chair for the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) Automated Working Group and serves on the AAMVA (American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators) Automated Vehicle Work Group and researches and lectures on automation impacts on public policy. The Political Economy of Autonomous Vehicles. From autonomous vehicles to politics, she has written and spoken about public policy regarding transportation, innovation and equity as well as provided strategic assistance for transportation associations and companies. Selika was formerly the Deputy Administrator for the State of New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission in charge of all Operations for state services, the Director of Field Operations for the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and has over 18 years’ experience as an attorney litigator. She has spoken in front of audiences across the country and internationally providing unique strategies for companies and governments in a variety of policy areas. Selika currently serves on the Academic Advisory Council of PAVE (Partners for Automated Vehicle Education) and is passionate about supporting people and organizations that are in pursuit of an equitable transportation network that provides mobility and freedom of movement for all.
