Hannah Malvin, Consultant

Hannah Malvin is a coach and consultant with more than a decade of experience working in progressive politics in Congress, nonprofits, community organizing, and consulting. Her consultancy focuses on building workplace culture rooted in equity and staff wellbeing in Congressional offices, federal agencies, nonprofits, foundations, and fortune 500 companies. She also works with elected officials and cohorts of candidates to cultivate wellbeing and fortify positive mindsets through the campaign trail and time in office.

Malvin is program manager for Greening Youth Foundation’s Bridge Program, a new public-private partnership and equitable hiring pathway for the environmental sector focused on people of color and underrepresented communities. In its inaugural year, the project supported 300 candidates, trained 700 staff from 55 environmental organizations and 5 federal agencies in equitable hiring, and yielded 20 permanent job placements.

Previously, she served as Senior Representative for Partnerships at The Wilderness Society, leading a strategic planning initiative to root relationships in equity by designing new systems of staff learning, knowledge sharing, and coordination. In 2016, she founded Pride Outside, now the main hub for LGBTQ outdoor inclusion initiatives with Congress, federal agencies, conservation nonprofits, and the outdoor industry. She was Legislative Assistant to Congressman Mike Doyle (D-PA-18), covering health, foreign affairs, immigration, and more, and was Staff Director of the Congressional Autism Caucus.

Malvin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Brown University. She is accredited as an ACC coach with the International Coaching Federation and certified in positive psychology by The Flourishing Center. She serves as Vice Chair of the Southern Appalachian Wilderness Stewards Board of Directors.
