Michigan is a 2-day exam with fifteen Michigan Essay Exam questions and a 200-question multiple-choice Multistate Bar Exam.
MBE Subjects: Constitutional Law, Contracts/Sales, Criminal Law/Procedure, Evidence, Federal Civil Procedure, Real Property, Torts.
Michigan Essay Subjects: Agency, Conflict of Laws, Constitutional Law, Contracts, Corporations, Creditors’ Rights (including Mortgages, Garnishments, and Attachments), Criminal Law and Procedure, Domestic Relations, Equity, Evidence, MI Rules of Professional Conduct, Partnerships, Practice and Procedure (Trial and Appellate, State and Federal), Real and Personal Property, Torts (including No-Fault), Trusts, Uniform Commercial Code (Negotiable Instruments, Sales, Secured Transactions), Wills, Workers Compensation.

MPRE: A scaled score of 85 is required for admission.
Scoring: Michigan uses a unique method of scoring that places the essay and MBE scores on a common scale. The scores are each weighted at 50% and a total score of 135 is required to pass.
Filing Deadlines: The deadline for applying to the February Bar Exam is November 1; late applications are accepted until December 15. The deadline for applying to the July Bar Exam is March 1; late applications are accepted until May 15.
Fees: Bar exam application fee: $400. Late fee: $100.
