(a) Accredited CLE activities provided by this article must:
(a)(1) have as their primary objective to increase lawyers' professional competency;
(a)(2) be comprised of subject matter directly related to the practice of law; and
(a)(3) comply with the specific requirements set forth in this article with respect to each activity.
Attorneys can earn up to 12 CLE hours per reporting period via distance learning programs* (i.e. webinars, teleconferences, and recorded products) as long as the programs are accredited by the Utah State Board of CLE.

(a) Credit will be allowed for self-study with Board accredited audio and video presentations, webcasts or computer interactive telephonic programs, writing, lecturing, teaching, and public service and service in accordance with the following.
(a)(1) One hour of self-study credit will be allowed for viewing and/or listening to 60 minutes of audio or video presentations, webcasts or computer interactive telephonic programs in accordance with Rule 14-408(a).
(a)(2) No more than 12 hours of credit may be obtained through self-study with audio or video presentations, webcasts or computer interactive telephonic programs.
