Bio

Adjunct Professor Don Aplin is a graduate of Pomona College (Gov't) and the Antioch School of Law. Don is an attorney with the public interest group the Government Accountability Project where he represents federal employee whistleblowers. He recently returned to GAP--where he began his legal career 35 years earlier. He has handled employment retaliation, First Amendment, and FOIA cases, as well as working with federal agencies and Congress to seek resolution of the substantive issues that the whistleblowers disclosed. Prior to rejoining GAP, Don worked as a legal journalist for Bloomberg BNA for 20 years, lastly as Managing Editor for Privacy & Data Security News. Don has also practiced in a small Washington, D.C. law firm representing plaintiffs in EEO cases. This is his 34th year teaching in the Legal Rhetoric Writing and Research Program at the Washington College of Law.
