This handbook aims to educate juvenile justice professionals on the following:

(2) how culture and environment affects sexual abuse of youth in custody;
(3) tools that will help identify, address and respond to sexual abuse of youth in custody;
(4) investigating allegations of sexual abuse of youth in custody;
(5) useful legal tools for prosecuting sexual abuse of youth in custody; and
(6) preventative measures for juvenile justice agencies.
